  • It's true, not intended for larger women

Why did I order these even after I read the review saying they're not for larger women? I'm usually a size 14, I have an athletic build with muscular thighs and booty and a normally proportioned (not super super tiny) waist. The thighs and booty fit, but there was a laughable 3" gap in the waist, there's no way I could button these for more than 5 minutes at a time. If you look at the model, she has a tiny waist and then the shorts flare out. If you're built like me, order at least 1 size up so that the waist will fit you, and then the shorts portion will pouf out like in the photos. If you can't order a size or two up because that size isn't offered, don't order these shorts. 3 stars are because the material seemed really nice and the construction looked to be of high quality. Too bad I had to return.

    odd sizing

Maybe I will change my review later. I couldn't quite find the right sizing. I'm between a 4 and a 6, and purchased both: the 6 is too big, and the 4 is snug and rides up my crotch, so no. Will be returning both. Sad because they look great otherwise and very well made. They are short, kind of fit like hot pants, but then, I generally wear longer shorts so I'm biased. Butthey're hot pants in a great way.

    Not intended for large women

This is for all the large ladies that are online shopping. I'm short (5'3") and 180 lbs (typically wear a 12). I had the luxury of visiting to the PDX store to try on Seneca Shorts. The material was stretchy enough for sizes 10,12, and 14 to fit around my thighs. However, the waist band is different. The waist has zero give, it was uncomfortable and unflattering. The dude working the shop suggested the Anza Shorts because the waist band has less supportive material to keep them up. The Anza did not fit in any size. I can only recommend these shorts to women that wear under a size 10. I'm glad they reintroduced women's wear, but can ya'll consult a larger variety of women?

    Absolutely worth the $$

Seriously the best shorts I've ever had. These are a little shorter than the other style and are definitely more 'casual' than bike-specific. The other shorts fit a little different though and are tighter through the hips, looser in the waist. These fit like a dream though, I have a hard time finding pants/shorts so these are amazing. For reference I'm 5'7"/135lbs with narrow hips+muscular legs and got a 2. They're a little short so I probably wouldn't wear them on long rides but I love that they're tailored enough to wear to work too and not look sloppy. Love the thoughtful details like the zip pocket, reflective pocket lining, and the key pocket section. Thanks Chrome
