  • Perfect/comfortable day bag with lots of space

Perfect bag for every day use. I can fit my speaker, 40oz hydro flask, books, iPad, laptop cables and still have some room for meal prep items. Water slides off like it's nothing and the two secret compartments on either side on the back padding is perfect for My wallet, Gum etc. Comfort is key to me and this has all the comfort. I also love how it stands straight up when I set it down and I don't have to worry about it falling over.

    Perfect Backpack

I came to the Volcan from the original 'Bravo' design (a bag that lasted the better part of a decade of constant use). I liked the Bravo a lot but its lack of bottle pockets and the angle of its inner space toward the bottom were mild annoyances. The Volcan solves those problems and goes beyond it in design. The mesh upper pocket is perfect for the small things I would normally lose in the bottom of the bag. The computer pocket is sizable and secure, as is the thinner pocket for documents. A Kindle Paperwhite fits well within one of the other device pockets. A spare battery sits well in another. I carry the bag pretty much everywhere I go, but the niche experience I can offer as testimony to its volume and durability is when I'm carrying 3-4 D&D/RPG books, my laptop, a bag of dice, a battlemat, a few card games, and whatever else I had with me on my way to a game session. I've never found it to be wanting for room and none of the books or character sheets are ever bent, scuffed, or touched by rain. It gets heavy but sits comfortably enough on my shoulders. The one 'con' I listed is that the bag is bulky, even when relatively empty. The tarp material is stiff and durable so it never quite flattens the way another bag might. Wearing it on a crowded bus in New Delhi can be tight. Most other situations will be fine. I grabbed the Voodoo Doughnut version when it was around and it gets a lot of looks (and a few Voodoo-based anecdotes from other travelers). I've had it 7 months or so now, carried it to a few different countries, and it looks brand new. I'd happily recommend the design.

    Versatile and practical bag

Diaper Bag! (Believe it or not). So called dedicated diaper bags are just a marketing gimmick. I was looking for a versatile bag that had two big water bottle pouches, a quick access outer pocket, stands up on its own, and of course will last forever (don't buy junk!!) two weeks in with new baby and super stoked. Once he is older this will be a great overnight or commuter bag.

I've used Chrome gear since 2011. It's always waterproof and durable; only complaint here is that the top zippers are hard to open. Hope this improves with time? Good commuter pack.

Very spacious. Was afraid that it would be too bulky or cumbersome but its perfect. It's even comfortable when fully loaded.
