I was excited when Chrome announced these pants, since I was already contemplating finding something like this to keep my legs dry and free from splatter during rainy rides. Construction, as always with Chrome, is solid, and fit is very easy and comfortable. After a couple rainy-day commutes, I'm pleased to confirm they do an excellent job keeping the wet off. The material is softer and more flexible than the Storm Cobra 2.0 jacket, and feels less impermeable, so I wouldn't be surprised if eventually water might get through the pants—but that seems likely only if you get them utterly soaked. My only issue with the pants, and the only reason I withhold a full five stars, is that I can't pull them on and off over my shoes. The bottom of each leg is zippered to tighten the cuffs for a secure fit around the ankle, but even when unzipped, there just isn't enough clearance to get them over my feet without removing my shoes. Your mileage may vary depending on shoe size, I suppose, but at worst this amounts to a small inconvenience.
