Form Meets Function

For our friends in the Great White North who are out getting rad even when it’s ten below. We created a fully waterproof parka that is insulated at 100 grams to keep you warm even when Jack Frost tries to get you down. Side zippers make it easier to sit in the saddle, Chrome Raglan Reveal technology shows off reflective hits when reaching for the handlebars and multiple waterproof pockets keep stuff safe from nasty weather. This is the ultimate wintertime cycling parka.

Side Zip Vents

We talked with our homies in the Great White North about what they wanted in a wintertime cycling jacket. We heard one thing loud and clear. They need a way to keep the temperature regulated without sacrificing on comfort. The side zip vents in the Insulated Storm Parka give you the ability to choose how much ventilation you want while providing added articulation in the saddle. I use this coat to commute in 10-20° weather with no problem. Great quality stuff.

Good weather and rain cycling jacket; Needs a hanging loop

PROS: I've worn this jacket primarily for my daily cycling commute to work. It's adequately warm for cold, mild wintry and rainy rides. Overall its a great fit (I'm 5'7" wearing Medium) and the hood is a perfect size when layering with another hoodie or beanie. The two-way front zipper is extremely useful for comfort and adjustability as well as the side zippers. CONS: The inner lining could use some storage compartments. The biggest gripe with all Chrome jackets I've owned thus far is there is no loop for hanging it any to a simple coat hook; I resort to hanging it by the hood itself when it's wet. Most any other typical outdoor jacket already incorporates this; this simple addition would be helpful.

Well Fitted Winter Parka w/ Chrome Quality

The lining is minimal but I would recommend layer up anyhow, so not a concern of mine. The exterior material seems to be fairly wind resistant and I like the minimal branding too - only the small logo on bottom front. The fit is also good - I am 6'1"/145lbs and like the other Chrome jackets I have a Small is actually the right fit - sleeves are long enough and this is already a longer torso so great overall fit. Similar to some other reviews, I think some of the features missing are an inside pocket and hand pockets either corresponding to the existing waist pockets or like some parkas up higher at the chest level. Besides those two fairly minor comments, I think this is a great coat so far. I have not worn during cycling so can't speak to that functionality. I would recommend for the $150-200 sale price.
