  • Form Meets Function

Inspired by the vibes of the classic rain trench, we added a few extra bells and whistles to create a rain trench that's as at home on a bike as it is down at the local pub. With gusseted shoulders and articulated elbows, the Stanton is engineered for comfort in the saddle. And while it's seam- taped to be fully waterproof and has a hide-away hood for when it really starts coming down, it's also surprisingly lightweight and packs away nicely when the sun comes out.

This is a fantastic jacket, first of all. But it's not without its short-comings. When I'm riding with it on the sleeves feel a full 3-4 inches too short, although when I'm wearing it casually the sleeves feel like the perfect length. I've found that the weather proofing is a good 30/40% better than the weather proofing on my Cardiel ORP pack. The jacket does well in light to medium rains, but when it starts to really come down it starts to fall off a little bit. I love the jacket for casual use, but as a commuting jacket; I would rather have a large Stanton Trench for that purpose.

    Perfect companion

The true allrounder for Dublin. Since day 1 it is with me every day, all the time. Stylish, waterproof, exactly what I was looking for.

    Great jacket

Great fit, perfect length. I would prefer a permanent hood over the collapsible one. The collar is less comfortable with the hood inside.

    Great lightweight jacket

This is an excellent and versatile jacket that I've gotten a lot of compliments on. It was a bit bigger in the fit than the sizing chart seemed to suggest- normally I would take a large to XL size and the large fit much better in this jacket. I'm waiting on the return credit for the XL (which the company says can take up to 3 weeks) but the return process itself was pretty straightforward.

Perfect urban rain jacket for unpredictable weather

I love this light rain jacket. Great waterproof material, breathable, and fit all-around. Without even noticing, I would put on this jacket even if there's only a 5% chance of storms. The only advisement to share is to be careful with holding objects in the side pockets. The pocket lining material, while smooth and cut properly, is not the most durable so sharp objects like keys may pierce through the lining. Otherwise, this is the ideal jacket for commuting, whether with your bike or strolling through the town on foot.
