Stanton Rain Trench Jacket

$250.00

Built for more than fog. Our take on a classic rain trench with a ton of added bike-friendly features.

  • Classic rain trench with technical performance
  • Gusseted shoulders and articulated elbows
  • Stowable hood with PU zipper
  • 2-way zip with snap closer and high neck
  • Two layer 100% poly shell w/ mechanical stretch
  • Form Meets Function

Inspired by the vibes of the classic rain trench, we added a few extra bells and whistles to create a rain trench that's as at home on a bike as it is down at the local pub. With gusseted shoulders and articulated elbows, the Stanton is engineered for comfort in the saddle. And while it's seam- taped to be fully waterproof and has a hide-away hood for when it really starts coming down, it's also surprisingly lightweight and packs away nicely when the sun comes out.

  • Great rain jacket, but mine may have defects

Less than a month in, loving it so far. Waterproofing is great, although I haven't tried it in a downpour yet. There's very little insulation, but I personally prefer it that way, because it means that it doesn't get too hot when it's not freezing. When it is freezing, I simply layer up below the jacket. As for someone with relatively large arms and chest, a medium (my typical size) gets a little snug when I'm dropping my posture on my bike. Only negative is that one of the snap-buttons is feeling a little loose and theres a very small tear in the seems inside one of the pockets.

    An adaptable and stylish jacket

This is a fantastic jacket, first of all. But it's not without its short-comings. When I'm riding with it on the sleeves feel a full 3-4 inches too short, although when I'm wearing it casually the sleeves feel like the perfect length. I've found that the weather proofing is a good 30/40% better than the weather proofing on my Cardiel ORP pack. The jacket does well in light to medium rains, but when it starts to really come down it starts to fall off a little bit. I love the jacket for casual use, but as a commuting jacket; I would rather have a large Stanton Trench for that purpose.

The true allrounder for Dublin. Since day 1 it is with me every day, all the time. Stylish, waterproof, exactly what I was looking for.

    Great jacket

Great fit, perfect length. I would prefer a permanent hood over the collapsible one. The collar is less comfortable with the hood inside.
