A Bag Built for the City

Our Treadwell collection was created with the traveler in mind. With the Osiris, we've made a duffle big enough to bring it all with you. A bigger, meaner version of the Surveyor, the Osiris has three different carry styles, external quick access pockets and a dedicated shoe compartment. Built from super-tough yet handsome 1680d ballistic nylon, the Osiris stands up to anything the long haul can throw at you.

  • Super sturdy duffel

Bought this for my boyfriend for weekend trips, right out of the package I could tell it was super sturdy!

Well made but try it in person before you buy.

Nice duffle, really well made. Large enough and plenty of pockets to keep organized. My only issue is the strap situation. The bag has a configuration to wear the bag like a backpack but it does not work well. If the bag is even halfway filled, it is very hard to get the backpack straps on both shoulders. I bought this online, otherwise, I likely would not have purchased it had I known this issue. This bag would be much easier to carry when filled if it had a better backpack setup.

An extremely nice bag, just a little too big.

I bought this bag as a weekend bag and also something I could take with me as Carry on bag. Unfortunately, I think it's a little too big for carry on. Regardless it's still a very nice bag, and the fact you can carry it like a backpack is a definite plus.

Heavy duty duffle- strap design needing a little more

This bag has all the space you could need and more for a weeks long trip through the city.. however with all that space, it leaves you wanting to fill it up and that equates into a one very heavy bag. The straps though uniquely designed, are a bit of a struggle to figure out how to properly connect them and at that, seem a bit oddly placed to make the bag sit comfortably on your shoulders, and once connected so it functions like a backpack, the metal clasp it feeds into isn't resilient enough or reliable enough to trust it will stay hooked in and this my heavy and bulging bags' straps sometimes malfunction and it falls behind and below my waistline sometimes in awkward and embarrassing moments where I'm having to scramble to correct and rectify the situation like I'm the middle of the crosswalk at a busy traffic intersection. But the bag it'sself surely is durably made and holds up beyond the strap snafu.. happy to have another durable and reliable bag that won't breakdown no matter what wear and tear and stress I put it through.

So close to perfect, but warning!

2-week trip to Europe. 4 hotels, airplanes, trains, cars, buses, & many hours of walking. Carrying modes: it's cleverly versatile, but Chrome does a poor job of telling you how to use it. Video goes fast & it's difficult to tell what is being hooked onto what. I probably spent 50% of my time in backpack mode, 40% in backpack mode w/both straps over one shoulder, 10% in briefcase-style carry. Backpack mode was my favorite. It was fairly full with clothes & a heavy 17" laptop, & was comfortable for long treks. Doesn't compare to a hiking backpack, was still pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is. But there is a TERRIBLE flaw in this mode. When putting the bag on, the strap is HIGHLY prone to slip out of the loop at the top, so the bag swings down to the ground hinged at your waist. Happened twice. It's embarrassing, potentially hazardous to your cargo, & potentially hazardous to your health if it folds you to the ground. From then on I needed someone else to verify that the loop was configured correctly every time. Looking into ways to replace the poorly design loop hardware since I want it permanently in backpack mode. Capacity: holds a ton. Disappointed at first that it's 1.75 inches longer than airline regulations, but since it's a soft bag & I didn't pack super tight, it easily fit in the airline overhead bin (w/laptop removed) without having to go in sideways. Look forward to trying that again with more contents. Features: shoe compartment is smartly placed, useful. Comes with a compact backpack bag that works well as a dirty laundry bag, stows away in its own pocket. External zipper pockets are great. Straps on either end are useless, they refuse to stay tightened. Lots of places on the outside to hook things. Quality: Fabric & stitching are going to last a long time. Clasps at the end of the strap are plastic, seems like a real potential point of failure. We'll see. Overall: tough, versatile duffel in a perfect size, with a few glaring weak points.
