Form Meets Function

Named after the location of our first office in San Francisco, we designed these shorts in SF to work on the bike and off. A slimmer, shorter alternative to our legendary Union Shorts, we made the Folsom Shorts with a durable, water resistant Everest 4-way stretch material for comfort on the bike. With a reinforced crotch, seams and belt loops, an added u-lock holster and floating rear pockets to make the saddle more comfortable the Folsom Shorts are tricked out for crushing the streets (and hills) of San Francisco and anywhere else your bike takes you.

Comments about Chrome Folsom Short 2.0:

These are great looking, very comfy and clearly VERY well-made shorts. I mean, they appear pretty bomb-proof. I wear them for commuting, gravel/adventure riding, casual wear, and occasionally mountain biking. The only shortcoming is, at this price point, I think there should be at least one pocket that is secured somehow--zipper, velcro, anything. If just one of the rear pockets had a zipper for example, I'd feel safer with my wallet back there commuting. And, these rear pockets are a pickpocket's dream - the openings are quite loose. Great shorts but as I say, for this price there should be at least one secure pocket of some kind.

    Comments about Folsom Short 2.0:

Great pair of biking shorts. It was very hard to discern from the website copy -- if there is a chamois or padding inside these shorts. They are excellent, but any serious biking activity on anything but a retro cruiser requires a chamois. Why isn't there one here -- or at least an optional insert? Does no one but me think biking without a chamois is like biking without pants on? Easy enough to get a pair of liners and make these work, and then I give it thumbs up. But conditionally so.

      Comments about Folsom Short 2.0:

My favorite shorts. I like them so much that I own 7 pairs and they are all I wear for shorts any more. The only problems I've had was some sizing changes on Chrome's part made worse by some size changes on my part as well (my weight seems to fluctuate often). But, over all they are great. Good fit, breathable but somewhat water repellent. I am in the process of donating all my other shorts to Goodwill and wear nothing but Folsom shorts Spring thru Fall.
