Temperature regulating, moisture wicking, antibacterial, odor resistant. Merino wool is one of our favorite fabrics for urban bike gear. It’s warm enough to stand up to a chilly morning commute, breathes like technical performance gear and looks cool enough to wear all day.

i first got a pair of chrome socks as a gift for hanukkah four years ago. they are still here and are my favorite pair of socks, so i bought 4 more. they are very soft, durable, and warm enough for most california temperatures, though i wouldnt take them anywhere that is actually cold. you can wear them at least two days in a row before they need to be washed. they kind of work as dress socks too if youre trying to look a little nicer than usual. theyre a little pricy, but if i could replace all of my every day socks with these i would.

I've owned merino socks from several US-made companies and these are some of the most comfortable but least durable socks. I used them as everyday socks and do most of my commuting/errands on bike in San Francisco. Not worth the money, and like other reviewers have said, even a VERY short lifespan is not covered under warranty. Try socks from Darn Tough instead, as they'll replace anything you can wear out and are comparably priced.

Comments about Chrome Crew Merino Socks:

I have six pairs and can't stand any of my other socks. I wear them for everything. The only hole I've gotten was due to a gnarly nail sticking out of a floor that I shouldn't have been walking on without shoes.

      Great socks for cycling

Comments about Chrome Crew Merino Socks:

I have several brands of merino socks and I like these best. Not as thick as woolie bollies, they work well with my snug road cycling shoes and don't bunch up. I've had two pair for a few years now that are still in great shape. I'm on the site buying more while they were on sale.

        Comments about Crew Merino Socks:

For what I have seen so far (I've only worn them a couple of times) these socks not only fit well (I use 7.5 US in Chrome shoes) but look of good quality and thick enough for winter commuting (as long as we are not talking below 0)

        Very comfortable, lacking in durability.

Comments about Chrome Crew Merino Socks:

Great socks as far as comfort. Not durable at all. I had holes in multiple socks in less than a year and I just wear them to work. Even worse, no warranty. I called and they are not covered for holes.
