The Iconic Chrome Seatbelt Buckle

After building our first run of bags in the mid-90’s, we got tired of pulling heavy bags over our heads and decided to find a better way. We visited a local auto scrapyard, started cutting seatbelts out of old cars and an icon was born. Tough enough to stay buckled in any kind of situation but easy to release when you need to get out of your gear – Chrome’s signature messenger sling closure. • Best Bag Ever

I love this bag. It looks slick and putting it on and off is easy. It's especially nice to be able to rummage through the bag while you are still wearing it.

Durable and versitile but could use some padding.

I put this bag through hell for 5 years. 3.5km every day, all kinds of weather, year round, carrying at least 20 pounds. The only signs of wear are some minor fraying on the belt from where it was rubbing again a strip of velcro, and a minor bit of rust on the latch buckle hinge. Got enough pockets to store pens, small electronics, travel toothbrush, painkillers, you name it. You can fit enough for a weekend trip in this thing and still have it organized. Straps are easy enough to adjust to keep the bag tight to your torso, though the belt buckle can loosen over long distances or under heavy load. Plenty of hard points for extra pouches or carabiners to attach to. Only real complaint is that the back has no padding, so you are going to FEEL whatever you have in there. I normally kept softer notebooks or a spare shirt/jacket between the back and my laptop. Other than that, worth every penny.

    So worth it

This is my second buy. I love the ease I can put this on without taking off my helmet. Also, I've stopped worrying about the rain and wet laptops ever since I started using it.

These bags look even cooler in person than they do on my TV!

I first saw this bag in the movie "A interview with God". I thought the bag in the movie looked really cool and sturdy. After purchasing one for myself I was really impressed with the quality. The bag looks even cooler in person. I'm Glad to see companies like Chrome are still making quality products and giving people what they pay their hard earned money for. Thanks again to the people at Chrome, and keep up the good work. All the best, Brian from NYC.

    Well worth the money.

I used the new bag for the first time today on a scout for a commercial I'm working on. The bag performed flawlessly. The construction is perfect. I was able to carry everything needed with room to spare.
