Rolltop Closure

A favorite of bike messengers the world over, rolltop bags give you extra room when you need to haul a ton of gear and fold over to keep everything inside protected from the outside world. Ideal for travelers, commuters who need to carry a variety of cargo or cyclists who get gnarly in all weather, rolltops get the job done. Real Good

Well constructed, classic bike bag. Surprised how often I find myself using the cargo net to move boxes and odd-shaped items. Do wish that the front pocket was waterproof or there was some kind of organization withing the sealed compartment.

I use mine to carry clothes for work, gloves, a u-lock, etc. So far so good! Really comfortable while riding my bianchi to and from work, waterproof and stylish! Thanks!!!

    Love it

This bad is fantastic. Waterproof, bombproof, and the external webbing is worth its weight in gold. I don't think I could go back to a bag without this kind of external storage. I'll be using this for a very, very long time. One word of caution: this is not the bag for people who like lots of built in organizational features. You have to use pouches to make it work. But it's good enough that it's worth getting pouches if you don't already have them. I hope that they add more pockets in the next version, but I'll certainly use the current one until there's a new one.

    Good pack, a few drawbacks.

Overall very good pack. Quality materials, comfortable, and great for commuters. However, I do have a couple drawbacks to share. First, I expected my U-Lock to be able to be stored in the outside cargo "pocket" without worry. While I haven't had issues with it falling out in the few weeks I've had the pack, I do worry about the lock slipping out of the side of the cargo net. Second drawback is you cannot easily fit larger (32 oz Nalgenes or Hydroflasks) water bottles in the water bottle holders—only standard bike water bottles. Lastly, this is not a large backpack, especially when you tighten the cargo straps—smaller than I anticipated, but still can hold a decent amount of stuff. Like I said first, this is a very good pack. While it has a few drawbacks in my opinion, I would recommend this to a friend. However, I might recommend a timbuk2 bag first (Spire laptop backpack for $99 has been my trusty cycling pack for the past few years).
