    More Pockets Please!

Great bag! The only reason it gets 4 stars is the lack of pockets. I can carry ALL of my things, it's just ephemeral items (pens, flash drives) will get lost in the nebulous depth of the bag. I can fit everything I need, I just wish it had smaller pockets for essentials as well. This is my second Chrome bag in 10 years. My first one (Citizen Messenger Bag) lasted forever. It actually is still functional, I just wanted a backpack---I wanted to distribute the weight on my back more evenly. You won't go wrong with a Chrome Bag. Your things will stay dry & you'll look fresh making moves!

    Bag looks and feels great.

Fits much better when fully loaded

Interestingly, the Barrage is most comfortable when it is heavily loaded. The straps and back padding add carrying weight but are much appreciated for comfort when the bag is full. I found the back strap fit to be uncomfortable due to the rounded collar. Related to that, the bag sits low on the back. Both of these adverse qualities dissipate when you're hauling a lot of stuff. The webbing is really versatile, and I like that the bag cinches down to a smaller profile when needed. The material is really sturdy and there welted interior is confidently waterproof. I don't really like using the side pockets for u-lock because it bumps into my elbows.

Heavy duty, maybe TOO heavy duty

I bought this bag for daily bicycle commuting to work. I chose it because it is heavy duty and waterproof. However, it might be TOO heavy duty for my usage. This bag feels much heavier and larger than it actually is, more like a rucksack, even with just my work clothes and lunch inside. It becomes very hot in this muggy Virginia weather. It was also on the higher end of my price range. On a positive note, I like the cargo net on the back, and hope the durability of this bag can last for a lifetime of multiple uses (bike commuting, hiking, beach trips, etc). #sweepstakes
