  • I use the bag everyday, and people think it's cute.

To be clear, I love this bag; I use it everyday as a researcher who can work from any location. It looks great, is incredibly comfortable – to the point where I find myself resenting my Osprey pack whenever I wear it – and has great utility. It has just enough pockets and places to stow stuff. Some bags stuff from packing way too much in, but the Avail nails it. There's a place for my keys, my computer, my pens, my battery, my water bottle, and important docs. That's... about it. The rest is just open space, and it feels bigger but looks smaller than something like the Bravo. It's also light, which is great for days when I can go minimalist. Yay, Chrome! You make things I like! Take my money! What could be better: The chest strap came off within two week. The female end recently came off another four or five months later. Unlike other Chrome bags, this one has no places to put accessory pouches, and it is not compatible with the Chrome keychain, one of my favorite features of my Bravo. The netting of the water bottle pocket is already showing wear after five months I have the white one, and scuff marks are now noticeable.

    Do not buy.

Too big. I wish there where some tie down straps to make the bag smaller when not loaded. While the headline talks about how comfortable this bag is I am note who wore it to check that. The back retains heat. THe straps are uncomfortable.

Looks sharp and is sooo functional.

I commute by bike in Alabama. From May thru October it is hot! I bought this bag because 1)it looked so sharp 2)the way they've designed the padding to minimize heat is innovative and working pretty well in high humidity and 93 degrees. #sweepstakes

    Great bag! Highly recommend!

I use this bag for to take music I use to teach. Really sleek ....sturdy design! I love the pouch for my iPad.

    Excellent basic minimalist backpack

The avail backpack stays true to its name by being one of the most comfortable bags you will ever use. For its size (which is about 20L) it is a great daily carry backpack. The materials, build quality and sticking are excellent. This is definitely a bag that will last a long time. The design of the bag is a little strange, neither in a positive or negative way. The bag is built so that the widest part of the bag is the bottom and the thinnest part is on top. This makes the bag appear to be very sleek but does take away from the overall carrying capacity. Although it is about 20L, I find that because of the design, it becomes more of a 16-18L backpack as I am able to load less on the top of the bag. Nevertheless, because I wanted a daily carry backpack that was sleek and low key, this doesn't bother me much as I try to pack as minimal as possible. Still, if you carry bulkier items then this may not be the best bag for you. For example, whenever I want to pack a lunch for work, I will have to carry it separately. As far as organizing your items, the bag sticks to the basics. It is a top loading bag with easy zippered access to the main compartment. There is no separated laptop compartment, and you can carry at 13-inch without any problems. It probably wouldn't fit a 15-inch laptop. Although there is no dedicated laptop compartment, the laptop pouch is suspended, which is great. When you open the bag, the front portion of the laptop sleeve is an admin section with slots of a couple of pens, your phone, and another slim item. On the outside, there is an expandable mesh water bottle pocket and on the other side, there are loops made from seatbelt material for your bike lock. The Small quick access pocket is on the very top of the bag and can probably store your wallet and keys, etc. That's it. No other pockets. It's basic but that is exactly what some people are looking for. Bottom line. Well built excellent minimalist backpack.
