  • How do I clean my bag?

Here are the cleaning instructions for all of our bags:

    • Wrap the buckle (if seatbelt buckle bag) to protect from water. DO NOT submerge metal buckle
    • Hand wash, with cold water only, using a nylon brush (rinse brush often to keep from rubbing dirt further into the weave of the bag).
    • Use a mild detergent. No bleach.
    • Lay flat to dry. Pull the liner inside out if you have a tarp lined bag and hang on a coat hanger with a fan on it or air dry with all compartments open.

To Clean Tarpaulin Liners (excluding printed or limited tarp materials like BLKCHRM)

    • Use a Mr Clean magic eraser or similar cleaning sponge to get the grime off. Test in a hidden area first.
    • Rise the sponge often so you're not pushing dirt into the material.
    • With a damp cloth wipe away any residue left from the cleaning sponge.
    • Lay flat to dry. Pull the liner inside out if you have a tarp lined bag and hang on a coat hanger with a fan on it or air dry with all compartments open.
    • If it's a printed tarp liner or BLCKCHRM, use a damp cloth with mild detergent. Rinse cloth often while cleaning.

For Messenger Bags with Metal Seat Belt Style Buckle *DO NOT USE WD-40 FOR ANY REASON. Periodic cleaning of the mechanism inside your metal buckle is necessary. Things like sweat, humidity, weather, dirt and grime can and will build up inside over time and through use. The internal springs will not work properly if not maintained.

    • First try using some condensed air to get the loose particles out while pressing and releasing the button.
    • Lubricate the inner mechanism with either Mineral Oil or Tri-Flow sparingly at first through the slot opening at the bottom. Wipe away an excess so you don't stain your bag or clothing and you're done.
