Chrome Motor Bags are made with our proprietary HD Ballistic™ Nylon for improved heat and abrasion resistance. This stuff is tough as shit and stronger than typical ballistic nylons. We’re pretty stoked on it, but let us explain why.
Each Chrome Motor Bag is made of nylon that is woven with high tenacity yarn into a true 1680 x 1680 ballistic nylon. That means that in each thread there are 1680 filaments and there’s 1680 count thread on the warp (the tightly stretched thread that make up the core of the fabric) and 1680 count thread on the weft (the threads woven between the warp to make up the body of the fabric). Many commercially available ballistic nylons use 1680 thread on the warp, but only 840 thread on the weft to reduce costs while still, technically, being able to call the material “Ballistic.” What we’re saying is we don’t cut corners when we make our HD Ballistic Nylon and our bags are more bombproof for it. Once the weaving is done. We coat our nylon fabric with a rubberized abrasion-resistant layer. The result is our HD Ballistic Nylon that’s 4x more abrasion resistant and 3x more heat resistant than typical Ballistic Nylons.
Now you can explain what’s so great about Chrome’s HD Ballistic Nylon, or better yet, you can get one and See for Yourself. >>
