Customer Care Specialist

Location: San Francisco, CA

General Summary

The Customer Care Specialist plays a vital role in the Chrome world. You inspire people to live the city. You embody Chrome’s core values and love the brand and its offerings in bombproof bags, apparel and footwear.

As a main point of contact and “voice of the brand” it is the specialist’s responsibility for handling all inbound customer service inquiries from our web site customers — including phone calls, email, online chat and more.

The Customer Service Specialist will also be expected to provide feedback regarding key customer issues and concerns that could help improve the business and our overall level of service.

The Customer Service Specialist reports directly to the Chrome Industries Director of eCommerce.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:

  • Provide best-in-class customer service to ChromeIndustries.com customers
  • Support order fulfillment, shipping, and operations for all ChromeIndustries.com orders
  • Run all order returns processing and feedback results to the business
  • Be the main point of contact for all customer inquiries and communication for Chrome
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound communications from ChromeIndustries.com customers, including email, phone, and chat
  • Answer the bulk of all inbound customer service calls and online chats during business hours (8am – 5:30pm Pacific Time Zone)
  • Respond to all customer emails within 24 business hours
  • Receive and process Refunds/Exchanges documentation and Returned Product paperwork from warehouse
  • Refund customer credit cards in system, when applicable, after Return is made
  • Adjust inventory for returns, when applicable, after return is made
  • Provide assistance for warranty claims here and abroad
  • Report on the number of returns/exchanges/warrantied items in a weekly and monthly report
  • Oversee and work with Customer Service teams here and abroad when needed, (Japan and Europe)

    Design & Development Assistant

    Reports To: Product Director

    Position Level: Full time, non-exempt

    Location: HQ in San Francisco, CA.

    Job Summary

    As a member of the Product team, we are looking for a Design & Development Assistant who wants to be part of a fast paced, energetic team. The D&D Assistant will help create visual line art, tech packs, and keep the teams resources organized. The D&D Assistant will be highly detailed, organized, and willing to learn the entry-level skills of product creation. He/She will be accountable for the creation and management of our key visual tools to merchandise each season.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Own, manage, and update the Prototracker documents across apparel and bags for weekly product meetings.
  • Create, catalog, and manage spec measurements for new apparel and bag styles.
  • Assist with rendering new product designs in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Building and maintaining artwork assets and assist with building tech packs and creating color way artwork.
  • Own and maintain visual line plans and other visual communication tools for effective meetings.
  • Assist with technical design specifications (1:1 artwork for trim specs, Logo and graphic designs).

    Inventory Planning Analyst

    General Summary

    Chrome Industries is looking for an Inventory Planning Analyst to join its crew in San Francisco, California. This is an opportunity for someone who loves the city, knows product and knows how to build solid merchandise plans. The Inventory Planning Analyst works collaboratively to drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory levels and profitability.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

    General

  • Assist in managing the financial success of a division/department or class by meeting sales, gross margin and inventory productivity goals.
  • Analyze historical data and current trends. Identify risks and opportunities by division/department or class and solicit strategic ideas to help drive sales goals.

  • 1-3+ years of related retail planning experience. Wholesale planning experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to read, analyze and interpret general inventory management reports and experience in making business decisions and recommendations that impact the business.

    Operations Director

    Location: San Francisco, CA

    General Summary

    Chrome Industries is looking for an Operations Director to join its crew in San Francisco,California. This is an opportunity for someone who loves the city, knows how to count and sleeps with spreadsheets. The Operations Director plans, orders, tracks, analyzes and manages our inventory. This position uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict and enhance supply chain processes (aka Excel and logistics wizard). The role is responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations that support supply chain planning, purchasing and operations, and effective inventory management.     Summary of Key Responsibilities

    Supply Chain Logistics and Administration

  • Oversee maintenance of the product list and inventory in ERP/MRP system
  • Manage seasonal assortment line list and pricers
  • Manage all supply chain operations in coordination with production team and vendors, Freight Forwarders, and 3PL warehouse
  • Regularly evaluate and monitor shipping carriers, costs, and processes, using this information to shape improved business process and reduced logistics costs
  • Manages and oversees all store allocations, in addition to overall distribution of inventory between sales channels, including drop-shipping inventory to international teams
  • Oversee purchase orders for samples and bulk production and execute pre or post buy analysis as needed
  • Planning, Inventory Management and Production Management

  • Create seasonal/monthly demand forecasts based on sales input and monitor accuracy of those forecasts. Manage the consolidation of pre-season orders and forecasts from multiple sales channel teams
  • Manage the open-to-buy process and determine appropriate quantities to meet demand
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales activity to identify potential inventory shortages and excesses. Perform inventory reconciliations for main warehouse
  • Oversee inventory audit counts in retail stores and 3PL; and periodic cycle counts
  • Coordinate with factory to balance production capacities
  • Hold weekly calls/meetings with each production team to review and manage ongoing production schedules and deliveries

  • Develop and maintain supply, demand forecasting and purchasing tools

    Staff Accountant

    Reports To: CFO

    Job Summary

    Chrome Industries is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its crew in San Francisco, California. This entry-level position will oversee the daily invoicing and cash receipts processes including the reconciliation of the customer credit card transactions. The Staff Accountant also works with the accounts receivable team to insure customers are paying in a timely manner.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

    Web Merchandiser

    Location: San Francisco, CA

    Job Summary:

    The web merchandiser will be responsible for defining and maximizing the consumer experience and drive revenue by optimizing the customer journey through product merchandising, story-telling, landing page development and product page content. In this role you will draw upon your previous experiences of setting seasonal financial plans and working closely with planning, marketing, supply chain, and product development to identify and influence future product innovations, manage product flow and merchandising sell through targets. You will develop assortment plans for each of the major categories and define in stock positioning, balanced presentations, and accurate and timely receipt flow. You will be expected to develop strong partnerships with the marketing, operations, and creative teams and define collaborative strategies to meet and exceed sales and margin goals.
