SF HUB ASSISTANT MANAGER

Chrome is looking for someone to become the Assistant Manager of our SAN FRANCISCO HUB. This new members will be responsible for assisting the HUB manager and helping support the Chrome SF team. Also they will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class brand and customer experience, hitting sales goals, and creating an easy-to-shop environment. Key responsibilities will include servicing customers on the sales floor, merchandising the space and keeping it clean, supporting inventory management, and an excellent understanding of a detailed POS system.

IIn addition, Chrome shop familia are involved in community outreach, local guerrilla marketing, pre-release product testing and development, and throwing legendary parties at Chrome SF.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Report to / support SF HUB Store Manager
  • Deliver a best-in-class brand and buying experience
  • Help to keep the shop merchandised, well-organized, and clean
  • Proficiently opening and closing the store
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate other team members
  • Support inventory management, including counting, back-stock organization, and reporting
  • Help organize and run parties, local community events, and marketing efforts
  • Provide input on key company initiatives, including product development and testing
  • Proficient computer & communication skills
  • Reaching and exceeding daily sales goals
  •  Requirements:

  • 3+ years retail management experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to find innovative ways to drive the business
  • Creative and previous visual experience a plus (building in depth windows and fixtures)
  • Knowledge of cycling industry and culture
  • Knowledge of retail processes and procedures
  • Strong understanding of the Chrome brand

    DIRECTOR OF RETAIL

    The Retail Director is responsible for setting expectations and achieving seamless execution of store operations for our 6 HUB locations. This role monitors operations statistics and trends, provides coaching and direction to store teams to achieve company goals. Partnering with the Retail Operations Manager and the HUB Management team, the Retail Director achieves synergies through all sales channels to exceed today’s evolving customer expectations. Additionally, the Retail Director creates a culture of growth and development; driving individuals to higher levels of performance in order to fuel the future growth of the company.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee retail channel strategy and goals, from both a P&L and Brand perspective. Establish plans to achieve these strategies and goals to monitor progress.
  • In partnership with the Retail Operations Manager, develop retail processes that allow for predictable, scalable and profitable growth.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality store experience for our customers.
  • Effectively communicate to HUB Management and staff on retail priorities and objectives through regular meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • In partnership with the Retail Operations Manager, drive results through effective coaching and development of HUB Management teams.
  • Oversee succession planning across all stores and work to establish and maintain a strong bench of talent.
  • Establish and oversee yearly budgets for existing store and new-store build outs. Partner with store teams to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Develop seasonal / regional assortment strategies that leverage Chrome’s key stories and differentiate Chrome in the marketplace.
  • Assort the line, flow product and set pricing strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Oversee the development of retail inventory strategies and store-specific distribution plans to maximize store and item productivity.
  • Cultivate an environment that is entrepreneurial and opportunistic, promotes teamwork, takes ownership and displays a sense of urgency.
  • Summary of Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Retail or Retail Operations.
  • 10+ years of multi-channel retail experience and proven ability to drive sales in a remote, multi-store, fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Direct experience managing store operations to successful attainment of assigned business goals while meeting customer service, product sales and growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and completing successful financial and business plans for achieving sales and service goals.
  • Proven record of recruiting, coaching, mentoring and developing a strong team with bench strength.
  • Strong analytic ability and understanding of P&L, Retail Math, Retail Operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop solid relationship at all levels in the company with all departments.
