I have owned these shoes for about 8months now. To start off when I purchased these I was beyond excited to make the switch(coming from regular cycling shoes I was using Sidi). These shoes were put through a barrage of elements coming from a cook/bicycle delivery/dishwashers daily routine. I wanted to put them to the test beacause I planned on writing this review. They withstood a lot but recently the inner shank detached from the sole. I was never delicate with these shoes. They were my daily work shoes. However the time I did enjoy in them was full of great use, comfortable and efficient. I loved the time I spent in them. Forged storm SPD's ? I'm down, just sayin.

When I recieved my shoes was from a friend that travel to NY and bought me directly from the Black Friday.

At the beginning I get some little bloody injuries because of the hard "construction", but with a little suffered months pedaling with them... They are perfect fitted to me.

But I bought it because you say that is perfect to walk with the SPD things, but it isn't. The SPD touch the floor and make you slip and is quiet dangerous for the city pavement.

Anyway, I'm using this shoes EVERYDAY.

I have few chrome things and I'm happy with them.

The only thing I hope is that I'm thinking to buy another shoes and I would like that the SPD floor contact would be solve.

    Sorry for my horrible English.

    Regards from Spain dudes!!!

I have an 8.15 mile commute to work and wear this shoe every workday. This shoe is stylish, stiff where it matters and flexible in the right places while walking. The cleat will contact some gravel on the sidewalk, but walk quietly on a hard surface such as wood or tile floor.

The only issue I came across was the screw stripping out leading to a standstill 1 person crash at an intersection. I have been riding SPD systems for years and have never had a screw strip so this must have been an anomaly.

I have recommended this shoe to multiple people, mostly hardcore road/tri biker guys and they insist on sticking to their traditional road shoes. This shoe is great for long road rides as well as commuting. This is not a great shoe if you prefer the traditional road shoe ice skating walking style while walking on slick surfaces.

      Good but...

      By

      from Paris, FRANCE

Those shoes are really good, it's a bit hard at the beggining and after it's really glad to ride with it.
I used them during more than one year in every weather. And the bad point come here, ok they are good but the cordura is good during few weeks and then your feet are really flooded and the parts of the shoes start to take off. And finally, after one year, they are completely detached...

So I was really disapointed about that and for the price, one year is not so good... I have to go to a shoemaker now to paste them again.

Yes, I would buy these shoes again, however...

      By

I agree with the man from Spain. The metal in the shoe slips on concrete / asphalt and creates a noise. I am used to it now but I would LOVE to be able to get my next pair and know I can come off the bike and run to catch a bus without fear of a slip and fall to resounding applause... of course, I would get up. But just imagining losing all those cool points... makes me grimace.
