Tough Kicks

Tug on the Kursk, tuck the laces into the lace garage to keep them out of your drivetrain, and hit the road. The Chrome Kursk Shoe is a tough, cycling-specific shoe that moonlights as a simple pair of casual kicks. Thanks to features like stainless aglets (or lace end-caps for non word-nerds), the aforementioned lace garage, and a board-lasted sole, the Kursk will keep your feet protected and your bike rolling fast.

Chrome Krusk, The Riding Shoe You_____ve been waiting for!

It took me forever to decide whether I was going to spring for the Chrome Kursks. At $70 they were something I really had to decide on. But man I_____m glad I did.

    Ride Function:

These shoes were built for rides. As far as function, the shoes really started to reveal the difference from my other favorite pedaling shoes (I wear a lot of onitsuka tiger) with the quality of the sole. It_____s significantly thicker and reinforced and strikes this very sweet balance with a pair of MTB cycling shoes and a pair of sneakers. You get much more stability and support and so my foot is moving around much less when pedaling.

    Excellent Quality:

The quality of the shoe really starts to show in the details. Steel tipped laces were a nice touch. The material doesn_____t feel cheap at all. The soles are also much more tacky and have great traction, but that might wear off in the future. Even small things like the lace garage (which is just an extra strap to tuck your laces in______) was a nice touch, although really it never occurred to me to tuck my laces in the first place. The solid construction of the sole feels pretty indestructible and also adds almost an inch to your height too. (Black/Red sneaker + 1_______ extra height = sexy bonus) Although, because the sole is much thicker / solid, you don_____t have the same amount of _______feel_____ as you would a pair of chucks or slip ons.

    Fit:

The fit is great for me. It reminds me to be closer to a pair of adidas or tigers rather then a pair of chucks. Which is good because I hate riding in chucks.

While I was hesitant to buy at first, but they_____re everything I could have wanted and more. I_____m completely ready to get my next pair.

First let me say the shoe looks great. I got several compliments about them. So why a one star review? Not even a month into owning them the soles started to fall off on both shoes. At the time I took them to my local store in Portland because off the guarantee on them and the clerk looked at them told me I clearly had trashed them myself and said that voided my warranty. So the solution is that now I glue them together every other month because I do really like the look and feel. Bottom line maybe I was just unlucky with my pair but the customer service I recieved makes me think twice about using chrome for anymore of my gear.

      Comments about Kursk Sneaker:

This is my 4th pair of Kursk shoes over the last 5 years. I wear them almost every day, rain or shine, work & play. The support plate in the sole keeps the shoe from flexing too much while riding a bike, and they are over-built to last through just about anything you can throw at them. Chuck the All-Star's and get some of these!

          Comments about Kursk Sneaker:

This is probably my 5th pair of Kursks, and the new 2.0 design is on point. Not much has changed in these in the 6 years I've worn them, but they still are just the best urban cycling shoe out there.

So good, that I own 4 pairs.

          By

These shoes are so great that I own 4 pairs. 1 is the storm version, and it does well in a medium downpour, beings that they are low tops. 2.5 years later, and my original pair is still being used all of the time. I have 3 others for my different color options.
