I really like the shoe. Still riding my first pair as a very frequent commuter and they have lasted going on 3 years...snow, rain, heat, etc. Frayed around the edges and the heel cups have worn thru inside exposing plastic-like stiffeners. But a swatch of duct tape fits nicely inside the heel cup and lasts about 4-5 months. Long walks off the bike are not recommended, but running in and out of stops and hanging out on rest stops on long rides is easy. Why not replace them, you ask? Because Chrome no longer makes my 14 size. I have a new pair in the box, but can't bring myself to start using until the current one's fail miserably. Thinking about calling and asking if there is another pair of 14's hidden in the warehouse that need to go :) Good shoe for rec, commuting, and organized fun rides...even done a couple Tri's with them cause they are easy on with elastic laces.

Well, generally I'm not happy with these for the following reasons:

    * I purchased a size smaller than what I normally take after reading many reviews - as well as being told by a Chrome staff member - that they run a full size larger than most shoes. Well, I think the full size is not quite right, it's more like half a size bigger, which means I have shoes that are a little too snuggly for my liking.
    * There's little room in the toe box and the heel slippage is a real issue unless they're laced up really tight, in which case the circulation to the toes gets cut off. Mind you, the heel slippage has stopped somewhat since I've broken them in.
    * SPD cleats protrude too much from the bottom of the shoe (even more than my worn out 4 year old entry level Shimano shoes) and there isn't enough material cut away from the cleat recess to get the cleats back as far as what I'd ultimately like.

On the plus side, they seem fairly durable and stand up well to a moderate soaking during rainy riding.
It's a case of the negatives outweighing these positives though, as far I'm concerned.
I expected better from Chrome. :(

Comments about Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

Excellent compromise between a dedicated bike shoe and casual footwear. Stiff enough for longer rides, but curved forefoot makes walking less awkward than most traditional bike shoes. Plus they look great!

Comments about Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

This is my first pair of clipless bike shoes so I don't have anything else to compare it to, but so far so good. I'm riding with Crankbrothers Candy 2 Eggbeaters and I can get in and out of the pedals with ease. I love that these shoes are stylish and look like everyday shoes. The cleats do hit while walking on concrete though, but not bad on other surfaces.

Comments about Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

This is my 2nd pair. I just ate it going about 30mph and skid 15 feet. When all things halted, my feet were still secured in my pedal after this crazy high velocity impact. That pretty much let's you know these shoes rule. My last pair I wore for about a year. The only reason I replaced with these was because I liked the style. The other pair is still going strong. I wear them everyday in all weather conditions. Can't say enough great things about these guys. Keep shredding.

Comments about Chrome Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

This is almost my favorite shoe of all time, but the cleat sticks out way too far. Makes it difficult to walk sometimes. Other than that, great shoe.
