I really like the shoe. Still riding my first pair as a very frequent commuter and they have lasted going on 3 years...snow, rain, heat, etc. Frayed around the edges and the heel cups have worn thru inside exposing plastic-like stiffeners. But a swatch of duct tape fits nicely inside the heel cup and lasts about 4-5 months. Long walks off the bike are not recommended, but running in and out of stops and hanging out on rest stops on long rides is easy. Why not replace them, you ask? Because Chrome no longer makes my 14 size. I have a new pair in the box, but can't bring myself to start using until the current one's fail miserably. Thinking about calling and asking if there is another pair of 14's hidden in the warehouse that need to go :) Good shoe for rec, commuting, and organized fun rides...even done a couple Tri's with them cause they are easy on with elastic laces.

Well, generally I'm not happy with these for the following reasons:

    * I purchased a size smaller than what I normally take after reading many reviews - as well as being told by a Chrome staff member - that they run a full size larger than most shoes. Well, I think the full size is not quite right, it's more like half a size bigger, which means I have shoes that are a little too snuggly for my liking.
    * There's little room in the toe box and the heel slippage is a real issue unless they're laced up really tight, in which case the circulation to the toes gets cut off. Mind you, the heel slippage has stopped somewhat since I've broken them in.
    * SPD cleats protrude too much from the bottom of the shoe (even more than my worn out 4 year old entry level Shimano shoes) and there isn't enough material cut away from the cleat recess to get the cleats back as far as what I'd ultimately like.

On the plus side, they seem fairly durable and stand up well to a moderate soaking during rainy riding.
It's a case of the negatives outweighing these positives though, as far I'm concerned.
I expected better from Chrome. :(

Comments about Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

Simply a great bike shoe for anyone that uses their bike as transport.
Seems to walk better than the old version. I wear these at least 4 days per week, primarily to push a cargo bike around the city and when cranking hard up hills they are stiff on the down-stroke and keep my foot locked in on the up-stroke. Going to meetings people don't even know these are bike shoes. I colored the red logo black for a more "stealth look" but want to get another pair that has some more flash.
    Great footwear!

These shoes are ridiculously comfortable to wear throughout the day. I have ridden with other brands shoes that have a walk-able sole and these are by far the best ones that I have ever owned.

    Buying Second Pair

Comments about Chrome Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

My feet tend to "eat" shoes. I tear through sneakers and cons faster than most, but Chrome shoes hold up. When paired with shimano spds I don't want to ride in any other shoe. Stiff enough for extra pedaling power, comfy enough to walk around in when I need to. I'm buying a second pair after more than year, which is an amazing time considering I wear them almost daily. My only complaint is that they don't come in a wide option.

Comments about Chrome Kursk Pro 2.0 Bike Shoe:

Love the Kursk Pro 1.0, probably 3yrs of hard commuting in all but the coldest winter snow here in CO. A super versatile shoe that doesn't make me a bike dork if I make some stops or go for a beer after work. Sounds like some have had problems with shoes breaking down but I think mine have finally just worn out. Stiffness is good for around town, commuting, the odd rec' ride but still no replacement for a carbon soled performance mtb or road shoe for a long fixie ride or an endurance gravel grinding epic. Can we have just a bit more width maybe? Is the narrow foot a national average hipster size or something? Keep up the good work on 2.0! If they hold up as good as 1.0 we'll be sitting pretty for a $95 shoe. The price of my performance bike shoes makes me destroy them just a little bit longer I think.
