Form Meets Function

Like heat-mapping, we identified the key wear points of our Cobra Hoodie. We then created a technical fleece overlaid with durable stretch nylon where garments tend to blow out. Reinforced stow pockets, palms, and elbows offer double coverage on the toughest-wearing regions. Combined with our technical fleece fabric, these hoodies provide warmth and breathability in a lightweight package.

Overall I'm very satisfied with this hoodie. Lightweight, stylish, lots of pocket room, not too hot and not too cold. Perfect for cycling.

    Comments about Duramap Hybrid Hoodie:

Like the vast majority of Chrome gear, this is the real deal. Only had for a couple days, but I'm already in love. Fit is always a big deal to me; I'm 5'10", 180, kind of a musclehead, and the large fits me with massive comfortability. Torso length is spot on, arms are the right length for riding (that is, on the long side), and comfortably snug. Chrome knows how to build and maintain customer loyalty. Screw the upcoming spring and summer months. Pick one up today!

    Comments about Duramap Hybrid Hoodie:

Just got mine in the mail last night, been wearing it for the last 14 hours. Unlike most previous Chrome clothing I've tried on the fit and sizing are much more like "mainstream" brands. No more incredibly tight sleeves or impossibly slim-cut torsos. I'm 6'2" 175 LBS and the Large fits a bit loose on me and the sleeves are a bit long, though when biking they're probably the perfect length. Fabric seems very high quality: soft but sturdy. Zippers and seams are strong. The big hood and high collar are great. I'm not sure I'd call this "technical outdoor gear" given that it's still 86% cotton (and thus probably not great in wet weather or as breathable as a merino hoodie) but it seems to be a good every day indoor/outdoor comfy casual garment that can also stand up to the urban outdoors. Thumbs up.

Definite upgrade from the Base Cobra hoodie

    Comments about Duramap Hybrid Hoodie:

Picked up a black one for $90 during Black Friday 2015 weekend. I'm 6'2" with a 42" chest and the large fits just right. It's close to the body with the right amount of torso and sleeve length for cycling. My large has measurements of 38" from the center of the back collar seam to the sleeve opening, 21" from armpit to armpit, and 28" from the back collar seam to the very bottom tail end. Doesn't have thumb holes like the Base Cobra (large has same measurements except 1.5" shorter sleeve at 36"), but the reinforced areas are a nice touch for abrasion resistance. The funnel neck and hood are better for me than the Base Cobra in fitment as the collar comes up twice as high and the hood is slightly smaller so it hugs my head better. I wouldn't recommend it in windy conditions or weather under 50 degrees unless your wearing a couple layers underneath it because the wind goes right through it. However, being that it's not windproof, it's definitely breathable and very mobile. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and is now my go-to versus my Base Cobra hoodie.
