Good waterproof bag - but lacking padding and no pockets
This is a plain waterproof duffle bag with no padding and organizational pockets, whatsoever.
In Chicago, where the wind gusts can be so strong, I don't really know how beneficial this will be, when the slightest wind can slow you down with such a huge thing right in front of you.
The lack of padding I guess is normal for most pannier bags, but this is supposed to double as a duffle bag. Also glaringly missing is the lack of organizational pockets inside.
I like the bag and fits nicely on my front rack. This can also go on top of a rear pannier rack if you have a wide one.
Two other things that I wish this bag had: A shoulder strap and the bottom strap that wraps under the rack was a bit longer so that it can go around the top of the bag.
Quality seems quite sturdy - as sturdy as other plain pannier bags. We'll see how long this bag will last.
It is quite stylish that you can walk around with it as a daily bag.
Simple & solid!
I've had this bag for about a month now, and I have to say it's rock solid dependable. Nothing fancy-nancy here, just a simple sack with roll-down closure and 4-point attachment system. Perfectly weather-proof, we've had drenching rains and snows this January in NYC, but all my stuff stayed dry & happy. It'll hold A LOT of stuff, and still secures tightly with its four-point attachments. It took some trial & error to work out the best way to attach it to my CETMA 5-rail rack (the way described in the instructions is sub-optimal), but now that I have, the bag's very secure; I had to commute through the blizzard that nicked NYC today, and the bag never shifted, despite some fancy maneuvering to remain upright in the icy ruts! The bag's worth the money, since I expect to get man years use out of it.
I got this bag for Christmas and have already used it a handful of times. I had been looking for a large, waterproof bag that fit on my Cetma rack, and this was exactly what I was looking for. It is much larger than it looks in the picture and seems to have more of a square bottom than the images. Therefore, it fits perfectly onto my square rack. It can hold an entire change of clothes, including shoes. When fully attached, the bag is extremely sturdy on the rack.
My only complaint is that the bag is a little bit tough to quickly attach and detach from the rack. The clips that attach underneath are difficult to clip/unclip.
