Great Idea, but....

Review by The Stans

As a devotee to the Chrome Industries business model and their purpose of serving the urban bad ass, I was excited about the shoe. I have had my shoes for two years and rotate them with my forged chrome mirko's and storm truk shoes. But sorry to say Kursk Pro 2.0 Grey SPD Bike Shoe was a mixed bag of good and bad. I enjoyed the tough materials but around the heel the materials began to fray early. Last week the sole began separating from the shoe. Last night I glued them together and got on my Marin Commuter 29er and banged away on my 10 miles to the office with no problem. I will wear them till they cannot be worn anymore. The funny thing is that although they have been fraying and I have pounded them on the pavements of hot Kern County, they still maintain a look of distinction due to the quality of the materials just like most of my chrome gear. At the end of the day I think the uppers and the rubber lower just don't like each other or maybe they should be forged. By the way, I want you to build a commuter jersey and soft shell pants.

Really wanted to like them, but the fit just wasn't right. Maybe these work well for narrower feet. I wear a regular width but definitely on the wider side. I thought the cordura would stretch more. Kept wanting them to work for three months, but would put them on, not fit well, and then would just go back to my regular SPD bike shoes. Finally put them in the goodwill pile. Too bad because I love pretty much everything else from Chrome.

Fall apart quickly

Review by Brian

These are absolute garbage. My first pair started ripping at the heel within two weeks and the outer rubber serarated from the sole too. I exchanged them for a new pair and the new pair did the same thing. "Waterproof" doesn't work when the sole of the shoe is not attached. I would not buy these again.

Tough stuff

Review by Xander

These are awesome biking shoes! they have stood up to lots of abuse. The metal cleats wore out before the shoes did.

Great, durable shoe; wish for size 14 again

Been riding my first pair on commute for over 2 years, with a couple Tri's and fun rides on weekends. Glad I bought a spare pair of size 14 before Chrome stopped making 14's. Would be 5 stars if I could still get 14.

Good but not built strong enough.

Review by Drumomatic

Love the shoes and their ability to look pretty normal off the bike. Have used these for commuting and even 100 mile gravel rides. However, the two pairs I have had disappointingly cracked near where the spd plate mounts. Was on the right shoe (strong side I guess) both times.

Best SHOES ever!!!

Review by Brawlsy

I had 2 pairs of the original version, both in black and grey, I can’t wait to get the new ones with more flexibility. I wore the old ones every day, not just for riding… they are my favorite shoes! I commute everywhere I go and these shoes stood up to everything, snow, rain, one tornado and a blizzard, they are finally falling apart after over 2 years of constant abuse, good job chrome!!

Killed shoes

Review by Ian

Love these shoes. Use them daily for my commute to and from work. I ride 13 miles each way and they are great. I can even wear them through the day as well if needed
