The best!
Over the past year I've converted all of my socks to chrome. They have been extremely durable, comfortable and warm. I use these socks for everything from road racing to casual wear these do it all.

Great socks
I got a free pair from registering for the North American Cycle Courier Championships in Austin a few years ago. They gave me large (well, they gave everyone large in a bag of other swag). I have small 7.5/41 feet so I thought I would just give them away.
Then I washed and dried them and they were perfect. I'm a huge fan of wool anything, so I bought two more pair in large.
These were MUCH better than the two pair of Kursk shoes I had (an early pair in red, which fell apart in two months, and a later pair in grey that lasted maybe 3 months before they fell apart).
While Chrome's trousers won't fit people who ride bikes, these socks are sweet.
Some commenters mentioned the price; these are on par with non-Walmart socks from quality brands. For the comfort and quality and how long they last, $12 is a deal (especially with the 3 for 2 pricing!)

I've bought 40 pairs. Lost lasting against smell, but not questionable durability
I bought my first pair back in 2013. Over the years my cheap Costco sockpile has dwindled, and I mostly have Chrome socks now. Mostly ankle socks, but also the crew and OTC. What I love about these socks is:
1. They look classy and go with anything
2. I can usually get by 2-3 days casual use with no smell issues
3. They work for all seasons

These socks are not thick. If anything they are on the thin side. If you pull too hard on them to get them on, they will rip. Mine have started to develop chronic holes on the heel section. At first, I thought it was just one sock I was encountering a lot. However, I've now realized I have at least 6 socks with holes in the heel.

Disclosure: I typically do not use these socks for heavy physical activity such as running, cycling, or yardwork. I leave that too my crappy white socks, which I rarely get holes in. I do have size 15 feet, so these socks are stretched a bit more than others I suppose.
Part of me kinda wonders if there was some sort of change in manufacturing which resulted more inferior product. I cannot confirm any difference between pairs though, and I generally stock up a couple times a year.

Socks, that don't suck.
My favorite socks! They dry out quickly after riding in the Seattle rains. Breathe well in the summer. They fit snug, which I like in socks.

LONG TERM REVIEW - SOLID.
Have had a couple pair of these socks for over a year now, seeing on average not quite weekly use (I have the low cut ones, so not so much winter use). If all Chrome made was bags and these socks, they'd still be killin' it.
They're a medium weight wool blend, excellent in summer, and still pretty warm in winter. They see regular wear and show little signs of it. L/R specific shape fits your feet well, and the ankle length is plenty low for me. I try not to dry them when I think about it, but even being put through the dryer plenty of times, they haven't shrunk up too bad. I'm a 9 1/2 and the Large fits greats. I'd say over a 10 1/2 that you might want to bump up to the XL to be on the safe side.

GREAT F*CKING SOCKS.

AWESOME SOCKS
I love the left and right specific socks that chrome offers because they're much more comfortable than any others. They breathe great and feel even better with chrome shoes. 200 out of 10. Best socks ever.

Amazing Socks
After riding about 50 km in these socks in pure comfort I was going to wash them... but there was absolutely no smell. They are right and left foot specific and compared to other products like it are a much better buy.
I have a size 9 (US) shoe size and medium is just perfect. Size 10 and up need Large and up.
Ordering 5 more pairs!

Absolutely Awesome
Instantly the best socks I have ever worn/ridden in. Put them on early this morning, and was immediately surprised just how comfortable and perfect they fit (size 9 shoe, ordered Medium's). Rode in to work, stayed nice and warm here in cold and wet Buffalo, NY. Worked an 11 hour shift, which requires me to be on my feet all day (sales guy at Bert's Bikes!) and rode home. Ripped um off and to my surprise my feet didn't scare away the cats like usual! These things are super comfy, warm, and really do get rid of excess moisture. Quit reading this and buy already, I'm getting more!

I got a pair of these socks when I got my bag and I love them but 12 bucks for 1 pair f socks is a bit steep

These barely make it to the washing basket
These socks are super comfortable, thick but not bulky, and don't smell even after days and days of wear. I keep putting them in the laundry basket, but then fishing them out again. They're easily my favourite socks.
The merino really doesn't stink and even if your feet get wet riding in the rain, your toes will stay warm - merino is great for that.

Horrible Customer Service
I ordered these socks, they did not fit(they run small). The logical thing was to exchange them for the correct size right? WRONG! I would have ended up having to pay another $8 to exchange them, the socks only cost $12! So not worth it. For having such high ticked prices, you'd think the least CHROME could do is have some sort of exchange policy. Get with the Program CHROME! PS. your customer service agents online suck...they need to lay off the hard drugs.

great socks!
I love these socks! I ordered several pairs and they are great at keeping my feet warm or cool and never smell. I also got the over the calf for the cooler days to wear with my natomas, loops and vanyas.

I ordered a size medium and my shoe size is 10. They feel a little small...may give away as a gift to a girl :-)

Surprisingly awesome socks!
I may be less than enthused with Chrome purchases in the past (the shoes I have to glue back together, the jacket that had faulty stitching I had to return) but these socks are AWESOME!

I received a pair in my schwag bag when i registered at the NACCC. They were large and I thought they would be too big for my girly feet (men's 7.5). I was wrong, they're perfect and oddly comfortable.

I'm ordering a second pair, maybe two more. (And a shirt, but only because my friend Tak shot the photo)

most favourite socks!
i have a confession to make - i have a wool sock problem - i can't stop buying them. merino, specifically. which is ok i guess, because i wear them pretty much every day that i wear socks.
and *HANDS DOWN* these are the BEST i've ever owned.
comfort, durability, multiple wearing without washing, warmth paired with breathability - they do it all.
and now that it's winter my ankles are chilly, thus looking forward to acquiring my first pairs of the Crew model. i'm starting with 2 so i can wear them every day.

Wool is Cool.
I own 4 pair of these socks - two over the calf, one crew, and one set of no show. Rather than clog up the review panels for each pair, I'll just do one general one.

In short, these socks truly are the best. There is no comparison between the crappy cotton socks you buy at department stores and these American made merino wool socks. These are 1000x more comfortable, really don't stink at all (and I just washed mine for the first time since Christmas!) and keep me super warm even in 10 degree Chicago mornings.

Caring for these socks IS easy. I machine washed in cold water using the 'delicate' setting, and dried on the low 'delicate' setting. No shrinkage whatsoever.

Anyways, in short, you can wear these things A LOT. I haven't worn cotton socks since Christmas (two weeks now) and I don't intend to go back. Merino wool is the real deal and now I'm out hunting for anything I can get (t-shirts, hats, etc.)

These socks are the best!

Wool is cool
Do you know how hard it is to find wool no-show socks? Once I came across these woolly wonders (at the Sneakery in Ballard) I can't live or ride without them! I have five pair of them now and wear them daily.

long lasting comfy socks
These socks last much longer than most, but unfortunately they are not indestructible. I have gone through several pairs of these (over the coarse of about a year) and have realized they last longer than my other brands of socks (Adidas). The only thing that could make them better is if the bottom of the sock was made of the same material as the top half which seams to be more durable (the wool comes off the bottom too much). Overall they are definitely the best socks i own and will continue to buy them!

Truly the best socks money can buy.
Like I said in my review of the Truks, I don't like wearing shoes, and that means wearing socks. Somehow these are different though. I forget Im wearing these, and they keep my feet so warm without causing them to get nauseatingly sweaty. Plus they stay fresh for a very long time.
