This is the only way I can do my job
I work on the salesfloor of a bike shop, and many ladies trousers are not designed with functional front pockets and having various things stick out of my back pockets would be a mess, so this hip pouch has been my saving grace. No need to leave my stuff under a work bench any more.
Now I can hold my everyday stuff and move around the store freely and go to lunch without having to hunt for my bag under the register or employee area: multitool, pen, business cards, wallet case, Epipen, snacks
I used to use my own belt and feed it through all the pants loops, but it made going to the bathroom an ordeal. Then I switched to using the Chrome utility belt and that totally didn't fit the loops, but I like that it's long enough to work both as a hip belt and diagonal across the chest option with enough given length to cut down to personal size fit.

Good for a Gun
Holds my gun and wallet securely.
This thing is sturdy and no bullshit, especially for the price.
I originally wanted a different color (something like olive drab/kaki) which was on sale. They ran out of the color but it didn't show on the website, so they let me buy a grey/white one at the sale price.
Sometimes I use it a a tool/tube/lights bag with a U-lock in the holder, but in a larger bag. If I'm traveling light and/or in and out all day, then I'll run this on a military "rigger" belt. I love the zipper pocket and normally have an Eat n' Tool spork, Skeleton multitool and a Crank Brothers bike multitool in there. Its a little tight, but it keeps it from clanking about.
Sometimes the pouch holds camera stuff: ditty bag of film, light meter, notebook.
I first bought a similar thing from a small "hand made in Portland" company. It was junk and "discounted" to $40.
There is one thing: If I could have a squeeze clip buckle strap, that would be nice.
